This is the first publication to describe in comprehensive detail the exacting process of making, processing and compositing these extraordinary nature photographs, a process popularised by Niall and his colleagues on the international Meet Your Neighbours project. “ This an accessible technique that needs only quite inexpensive equipment to produce very beautiful images, “ comments Niall. For photographers unwilling or unable to travel to the ends of the earth to make extraordinary photography, the field studio technique offers the possibility in their back yards.

I have tried to read as much information about this technique as I can. It was nice to see Niall has brought pretty much everything all together in a very well done format. I appreciate the willingness to share the technique which seems consistent with all the folks who enjoy this form of photography. I am assuming five stars and glowing review yields a box of chocolates?

Read about the e-book in the Outdoor Photography Mag, and a letter from some one the purchased it in the same mag a month latter. Both the Mag and letter gave it a good review. I purchased it via your site and cannot recommend it enough to anyone interested in Macro and would like to try something a little different. Please read the other reviews they are all spot on.

The most simply written, detailed guide to this kind of work I have seen (and complements his book "Outdoor Photography Masterclass"). Niall takes you through the whole process of using "the outdoor studio", and his post processing routine to get the final image. in my opinion this is a "must have" Ebook.

Niall Benvie gives a clear, easy to follow account of how to photograph various natural objects against a pure white background. The results remind me of the drawings in the galleries at Kew Gardens with the addition of photographic accuracy.
The quality of writing, proofreading and presentation is excellent. There are a couple of typos, finding them is an exercise for the reader!
Until you've tried to produce a technical document with more than one page, you don't know how hard it is to remove all typos.
The technique for getting a pure white background is clearly explained and he shows how to get great results with inexpensive equipment. If you have more to spend on equipment, he also shows how to make use of it.
The technical content is accurate, something many commercial publishers fail to manage. I hope that this is the first of a series of guides from the author.

I just had time to have a quick look at this e-book. For what I saw it is exactly what I expected. Now I need the time to practise all.

This is a beautifully presented well written ebook. The images are excellent illustrations of the techniques described making it easy to follow. Enough specific detail is given to make the reader confident to 'have a go'. I look forward to more of the same on other photographic aspects.

Having seen this eBook reviewed in Outdoor Photography magazine and a subject I am interested in it was a must have purchase. Great value and written with a practical slant it's a very good read & one I will go back to time and again when attempting the elements covered. The only thing preventing 5 stars is the eBook element of this product. For a how to guide having the physical pages in front of you helps enormously rather than fumbling with iPads, zooming in constantly on iPhone, lumbering around a MacBook/laptop or worse still removing the mobile element & having to view on iMac or PC desktop. Personally, for an in-field how to guide I'd prefer some printed paper...even if this would increase the cost slightly. Despite this slight groan its very well worth a purchase :o)

An interesting approach to non-destructive field photography and one which I'll try later in the year - hopefully in the summer months. Having a problem sourcing White Opaque Sheeting in a small size but will try the local glaziers when next in Edinburgh.
